"Write your Book's Sparkling Introduction"
Judy Cullins c. 2006
Why write an introduction? Nobody reads it anyhow. And dont
you know why? Authors get windy and "I" centered in their
long introductions. How boring. Your buyers want instead to
know what you can do for them. So, in your new half page
book introduction include these five parts.
-The hook. Ask a few questions where your audience is now
with their challenges on your topic.
-The benefits. What will your book do for your readers?
Only benfits sell. So include three to five in sentences
here.
-Why you wrote the book. Just a few sentences.
-Include a sample of your chapter format. What is
consistently inside each chapter? Tips, quotes, FACTS, or
stories.
-Invite them in in a sentence or two.
