Your website is your virtual office. You need to design each part of it to titillate and inspire your visitor, to be fast loading, to be easy to navigate, and of course, sell your products and services.
You must know your site's purpose before you design it. What do you want to sell at your site? Know that each product or service needs a sales page to give your targeted visitor best reasons to buy. And, you need a lot of useful content to build your data base so you can keep promoting and communicating with opt-in signups for your special reports and your blog. What are Long Tail Key Words?
They are the 3 and 4 keyword phrases which are very specific to whatever you are selling. Whenever a customer uses a highly specific search phrase, they tend to be looking for exactly what they are actually going to buy. These specific searches are far more likely to convert to sales than general generic searches that consumers typically do prior to making a buying decision.
Because, once they have made their decision to buy something, that's when they start using very specific search phrases to seek out their target purchase.
So, while it is easier to find single key words, they don't bring you the ready-to buy targeted visitors. Finding and using these long tail key words is a creative process and can take some time. But it's so worth it when traffic your long tail key words attract are people who will buy - thus pay off far more than other research. Take the time to do this research - the payoffs are huge. For myself, I do some of the work and work with my web master to do the rest.
