eBook Sales - The Big 3 Promotion Machine

You may be a part-time writer and can’t leave your day job yet. Or you may have published an eBook that hasn’t sold well yet.

Maybe you think, “I don’t have time” or “I don’t know what to next,” or “I’m stumped on my next step,.” or I’ve lost motivation and can’t get going again.”

Book Sales yes, but also Build Momentum, Expand your Platform and Solidify your Brand

Just realize you can create the life you want and make many more sales if you simultaneously work 1-2 hours each day on 3 top writing promotion strategies for your book.

One. Writing content that relates to your book to submit to article directories and your own blog.

This is online promotion at its best and with a few other strategies, brings great results. If you audience reads and knows more about you and your information, they will become fans and even buy your books.

Two. Writing compelling Web site free reports.

Your book audience who visits your site where you sell want to test drive you with your free information before they decide to buy.

Three. Writing your Web site sales letters-one for each eBook and service on your selling site.

If you don’t give your eBook readers enough information about your book to compel them, they will leave your site, never to return.

You need all three of the “Big Three Promotion Machine” to create many more eBook sales.

Too Little Time? Too Many To Do’s?

Like healthy teeth that you only floss the ones you want to keep, you only promote the eBooks you want to sell. For your eBook’s promotion platform and other tasks, choose only the ones that bring you fans or multiple streams of income. You must keep your name on your potential readers’ lips to get known as the expert in your field, or the pied piper with the best specific fiction or other message your primary audience wants.

Forget what you have on today’s to do’s list and be willing to only write what is the one top priority you want to finish today.

How do I know this? From my many years as a time management consultant. It’s not just being efficient; it’s being effective.

Schedule Only What Brings you Book Sales-Prioritize to be Effective

To be effective, you need to do the right actions at the right time. It’s far more powerful than being efficient, because you may be procrastinating and filling in with trivial pursuits that seem useful, but not money producing.

1. To make great use of your promotion time for bigger books sales, you need to set specific goals and actions each day that bring sales as fast as you want them.

Book Coach’s Tip: Just do 2-3 a day so you finish them and you will get closer to those eBook sales! Not much happens when you don’t finish each day’s project!

2. Know that you book sales can come from multiple efforts.

Most authors will not become wealthy unless they have multiple books and programs that give them multiple streams of income, and invest in promoting them and their other products.

Know that it takes many steps to get to the sales, so you need to do what it takes to get there. You have to build an online presence that fits your book’s topic. For Linkedin, business books are great sellers because of the large business audience there. For personal growth and fiction, turn to Facebook and set up a fan page there to get followers who will eventually buy from you.

Remember, writing skills need updating too. So consider some feedback on a few of your endeavors BEFORE you hit “send.”

Contact a writing coach who has done all of these promotions, who knows which ones to spend time on and which ones to dump. When coaching book clients, these are some of the skills sets I help them with in short session or on an ongoing basis.
