Do You Know What your Web site Doesn't need?

If your brick and mortar or web site business disappoints you in numbers of visitors, new contacts or profits, you may want to check and correct your web site to see if it misses the mark.

"What you don't know can either kill you or make your stronger" applies to your building your business to be the best it can be. Don't stay in the dark about what works and what doesn't work Open your mind to learn how to find and develop the skills you need to make your web site sell well.

Did you Know your Web Site Doesn't Need These Three Things?

Use this list to check and correct your own Web site:

1. An old-style home page where you talk about your credentials or your products. You get ten seconds to hook your visitor to go to messages you want them to read. That means you need to use compelling headlings that taut benefits.

Forget "Welcome to my Web Site." This copy bores your visitor and they will click away instantly. Instead, think how you can answer your visitors' quesions and concerns. Remember "What's in it For Them."

2. Announcement of your mission. People want what benefits you can give them to solve their challenge or problem.

With the right information, you will compel your visitor to "buy now" after he or she has enough information to make an educated buy. . Put your mission and credentials on another link called "About Me" or "Contact Page."

3. Getting your web site designed with a webmaster before you do the preplanning and copywriting you needed to do. Contact a writing or copywriting coach and be sure to write a sales letter for each service and product you want to sell. Visitors need these to make a buying decision. The number one mistake businesses make on their site is not thinking about their audience carefully so their site is focused and powerful. And it gives its visitors a reason to buy.

Preplanning your web site is all important if you want big sales for your products or services.
